Arthritis
There are more than 100 types of arthritis. Common arthritis causes pain and stiffness and is most generally osteoarthritis (degenerative). Symptoms of osteoarthritis include joint pain and progressive stiffness. This develops gradually over time. Rheumatoid arthritis includes painful swelling, inflammation and stiffness in the fingers, arms, legs and wrists. This occurs on the same joints on both sides of the body, especially upon awakening. Infectious arthritis can include fever, shills, joint inflammation, tenderness and sharp pain that can be associated with an injury or infection. Children who suffer from intermittent fever, loss of appetite, weight loss and anemia, or blotchy rash of the arms and legs may signal the onset of some types of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. We welcome walk-in patients!
